Brad Gerstner

Brad is the Founder and CEO of Altimeter, a technology investment firm based in Silicon Valley that manages public and private portfolios. Started in 2008, Altimeter manages approximately $10B across its long / short equity fund and dedicated venture capital funds.

 

Brad has worked in technology for 25 years and prior to starting Altimeter, Brad spent time at General Catalyst and PAR Capital. He founded or co-founded three internet search companies - the last of which was sold to Google in 2012 and became Google Hotel Search.

 

He was born in Indiana and studied at Wabash College, Oxford University, Indiana University School of Law, and Harvard Business School. Brad lives in Woodside, CA where he loves to chase after his two boys, run, bike, ski, and surf.

His family foundation Give Forward is helping to lead the school turnaround in East Palo Alto as well as poverty relief in the Bay Area.
