John Khoury

Founder & Managing Partner, Long Pond Capital

John Khoury is the Founder and Managing Partner of Long Pond Capital. Long Pond is a New York-based real estate investment management firm that Mr. Khoury founded in 2010. Mr. Khoury has extensive real estate industry experience, leveraging positions at best-in-class firms focused on investment banking, private equity and hedge fund portfolio management. The Firm implements a rigorous, bottom-up research process across a broad investable universe in an effort to identify asymmetry, which the Firm defines as a material disconnect between price and intrinsic value. Mr. Khoury oversees the investment team and is responsible for managing all investment-related efforts, including portfolio management and risk management. 

 

Prior to establishing Long Pond, Mr. Khoury was a Co-Managing Member and Co-Portfolio Manager at Wesley Capital Management, a New York based real estate hedge fund advisor. Previously, Mr. Khoury served as a Senior Analyst at DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, where he focused on real estate acquisitions throughout the United States. Mr. Khoury began his career at Lazard Frères in the Real Estate Investment Banking group, where he worked on several notable REIT M&A transactions.

 

Mr. Khoury is a member of the Robin Hood Leadership Council and The Hotchkiss School Board of Trustees and has been a supporter of Ubuntu Pathways since its inception in 1999. 

 

Mr. Khoury received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
